Entertainment Industry Veteran
Shanti worked in the entertainment business for over 25 years. Her music industry career (from Intern to Executive Vice President) included promotions & marketing positions at Capitol Records, LaFace Records, Columbia Records, Sony Urban Music and Universal Motown where she worked directly with some of music’s top talent like OutKast, Usher, TLC, Goodie Mob, Toni Braxton, Donell Jones, Prince, Vivian Green, Amerie, Lyfe Jennings, Killer Mike, Mary Mary, Jermaine Dupri, Ashanti, Erykah Badu, Busta Rhymes, Akon, and more! Shanti worked at the record labels from 1993 ’til 2010.
She was the Co-Founder of the successful weekly live music series, R&B Live New York, which showcased urban talent from signed and unsigned artists from 2007-2009. Past performers included Ne-Yo, Fantasia, Akon,
Estelle, Trey Songz, Ashanti, Brian McKnight, Ray J, Janelle Monae and
Ryan Leslie.
Once back in Atlanta, Shanti co-founded the urban and pop music series ATL LIVE on the Park (2010-2019), a monthly live music showcase that became a staple among Atlanta’s exclusive entertainment and professional crowd. Past performers included Teddy Riley & Blackstreet, Chloe & Halle, Tank, Dave Hollister, Miguel, Johnny Gill, Andra Day, Chante Moore, Joe, Avery Sunshine, the late Tito Jackson, Too Short, th late Angie Stone, Anthony David, Silk, NEXT, Kelly Price, Vivian Green, Joe, Q Parker, Eric Roberson, Jagged Edge and many more!
Also in 2010, Shanti founded Press Reset Entertainment, an entertainment marketing firm. Past clients included Devyne Stephens’ Upfront Megatainment, The Grady Health Foundation, Atlanta Braves, National Black MBA Association, Johnny Gill, Demetria McKinney, Ken Ford, Kelly Price, and Jeezy to name a few.
